The Board of Advisers is an expert advisory body to EICE that:<\/p>

  • deals with issues in the field of professional work of the institute,<\/li>
  • advises on the professional and international development of the institute,<\/li>
  • makes proposals and takes care of the implementation of the work program in its field of activity (note: we will have an annual plan and goals, we will determine participation in projects, etc. with individual internal acts or decisions of the committee, based on the general plan of activities of EICE),<\/li>
  • gives professional support to the director and the Council of the institute in the expansion of the professional community, in the professionalization of the profession and function in the field of compliance and business ethics,<\/li>
  • may participate in the implementation of projects in the field of work of the institution.<\/li><\/ul>

    Dr. Andrea Bonime-Blanc, GEC Risk, founder and director<\/span><\/div>

    Dr. Andrea Bonime-Blanc is founder and CEO of GEC Risk Advisory, a governance, risk, ESG, tech and cyber advisor to business, NGOs, and government. A former senior global corporate executive (Bertelsmann, Verint, PSEG), she serves on several boards and advisory boards (Cyber Future Foundation, NACD New Jersey Chapter, Athena Alliance & WireX Systems). She is Independent Ethics Advisor to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico, Independent ESG & Integrity Advisor to the Platform for Social Impact and Founding Faculty for both the Institute for Directors Malaysia Mandatory ESG Governance Certification Program and the Diligent Institute\u2019s Certification in AI and Ethics Oversight. \n\nAndrea is Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the recipient of numerous awards including the 2023 Diligent Governance 100, 2022 NACD Directorship 100, 2019 Cyber Future Foundation Futurist of the Year and DCRO Institute\u2019s 2018 Risk Governance Exemplar Award. She is a NACD Governance Leadership Fellow, holds the Carnegie Mellon Cyber Oversight Certificate, and has served as Adjunct Faculty at NYU.     mag. Andrej \u0160ercer, Vzajemna, health insurance company, Director of Risk Management and Compliance<\/span><\/div>

    Mr. \u0160ercer is the director of the risk management and compliance department at the largest Slovenian health insurance company (Vzajemna). Prior to that, he served for almost eleven years as a corporate lawyer and compliance officer on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, a member of the CEESEG Group. He has been involved in corporate governance since 2004 and in the broader field of governance, risk and compliance (so-called GRC) since 2008. As an active speaker and author of several articles, he has recently lectured and written on changes in insurance management under the European Solvency Directive. II, as well as in general on corporate governance and business compliance. He is the chairman of the compliance committee at the Slovenian Insurance Association and as their representative, a member of the program council of the Academy of Corporate Integrity at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana.     Andrijana Bergant, EICE, President<\/span><\/div>

    Andrijana graduated in law from the University of Ljubljana, and in 2010 she completed a postgraduate study of management at the Cotrugli Business School in Zagreb (Executive MBA program, accredited by the MBA Association). Later in her career, she also graduated from the Banking School at the Bank Association of Slovenia and the internal international insurance academy of the Triglav Group. She has an international certificate CCEP-I in the field of compliance. For three years, she was also a member of the international committee for the examination of this certificate.<\/p>

    She is the founder and president of EICE. Her most recent position in the corporation was as a consultant at the Compliance and Strenghtening Integrity Center at NLB d.d., where she led the Prevention and Compliance Development Group; the latter includes areas such as code of conduct, conflict of interest prevention and general ethics, compliance risk management, training, regulatory compliance and the implementation of compliance standards at the group level. Prior to that, she established and managed the compliance function in the largest Slovenian insurance company for almost seven years, after performing legal work in other financial organizations for several years. She participated in the formation of the Declaration on Fair Business Practices and the Slovenian Guidelines for Corporate Integrity.     Annie Reisinger, EICE, Senior Adviser<\/span><\/div>

    Mrs. Reisinger graduated from Johns Hopkins University, l\u2019Institut d\u2019Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and Georgetown University Law Center. At the same time, she has a recognition in European and comparative law from the Facolta di Guirisprudenza, Universita di Siena. Mrs. Reisinger has worked in top international law firms such as Kelley, Drye & Warren LLP, McGuireWoods LLP, and Miller and Chevalier Chartered, where she was responsible for investigations and compliance in the field of international anti-corruption, export controls, and economic sanctions regulations. During this time Mrs. Reisinger has conducted a number of international investigations, trainings and inspections for multinational companies across the America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. Most recently in the USA, before coming to Slovenia in 2016, she worked for a Fortune 100 company, Honeywell International, where she held the position of Aerospace Director, Export Compliance Investigations, Audits, Training, Procedures, & Operational Excellence. At Honeywell, Mrs. Reisinger directed and led a global compliance team that oversaw the compliance of intercontinental export operations for the \u2018Aerospace business\u2019 area. She was an expert on compliance in the field of export sanctions for \u2018Aerospace Mergers & Acquisitions\u2019 and dealt with breach of contracts. Lately Mrs. Reisinger works as an associate professor at the European Law Faculty in Ljubljana, a visiting lecturer at the University of Primorska in Koper and a consultant at the EICE Institute.     Barbara Krajnc, Aurora Borealis, Director<\/span><\/div>

    Barbara Krajnc has more than 25 years of work experience in various roles. Barbara has been promoted to an experienced international consultant for public affairs, compliance and communications. In her career, Barbara has gained extensive knowledge and experience working in the public sector (Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia), corporate affairs in an international company, general management of an outdoor advertising company (Slovenian Association of Advertisers \/ The Golden Drum, International Advertising Festival). Today, she works as an independent consultant - a strategic consultant specializing in public affairs, regulators and issues management, compliance and corporate communications at Aurora Borealis. In the last 12 years, Barbara has also worked in the Adriatic region, from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia and Albania, and is fluent in most individual languages.     Mr. Domen Bizjak serves as Head of Legal and Compliance at Roche d.o.o., where he actively engages with colleagues from global, regional, and local teams of the multinational pharmaceutical company F. Hoffman-La Roche. He brings over 20 years of experience in law and compliance, encompassing roles in both the private and public sectors. Throughout his career, he has actively participated in various professional and non-governmental organizations, authored numerous expert articles, and was recognized as a Young Lawyer of the Year by the Association of Lawyers' Societies of Slovenia in 2011.     Gaber Kontelj, Director of Legal at Po\u0161ta Slovenije<\/span><\/div>

    Gaber Kontelj\u2019s career embraces 20 years of work experience, mostly in the private sector (Insurance, Chemicals, Technology, Telecommunications and Postal services). For more than 16 years he has held managerial positions in Legal, Compliance and HR areas, the most recent being the position as Director of Legal at Po\u0161ta Slovenije.<\/p>

    He was involved in numerous M&A projects, international contract management cases, cross border negotiations, led or coordinated numerous litigation and arbitration cases, and conducted \/ held countless compliance and legal workshops, trainings and presentations. Several years ago, he worked for Siemens, a pioneer in compliance systems, where he took over the position as Regional Compliance Officer, responsible for eight countries in the Adriatic area, thereby acquiring unique knowledge and experiences in the main compliance areas, such as anti-corruption and conflict of interest, anti-money laundering, antitrust\/competition, insider information and data privacy.<\/p>

    Jerica started her business career in 2004 at NLB Leasing, where she worked as an internal lawyer. She then joined Raiffeisen Leasing, a member of the Austrian banking group Raiffeisen. In 2012, she was appointed as Compliance Officer and Anti-Money Laundering Commissioner. She has a professional master's degree in law and real estate management and she passed the state law exam. Between 2014 and 2016, she was a lawyer candidate at a law firm in Ljubljana, and now she is continuing her career as an independent lawyer.     Ms Pergar Guzaj is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Internal Auditors IIA - Slovenian Institute and a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners - ACFE Slovenia. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and holds international qualifications in both fraud investigation (Certified Internal Auditor - CIA, Certified Financial Services Auditor - CFSA, Certification in Risk Management Assurance - CRMA).<\/p>

    Ms Pergar Guzaj has more than 20 years of extensive experience in internal audit, risk assessment (including fraud risk), auditing the adequacy of corporate governance and control in organisations (manufacturing and financial), and fraud prevention and early detection. She is a director of 4E d.o.o., a company specialising in consultancy services in the field of organisational governance (risk management, internal audit, corporate governance) and fraud management. She builds on the field of internal audit with the prevention, detection, investigation and remediation of fraud. In this way, it helps organisations to strengthen their internal control systems and to build systematic risk management.     Rok Praprotnik, NLB d.d., Director of the Center for Business Compliance and Integrity Strengthening<\/span><\/div>

    Mr. Praprotnik is the director of the Center for Compliance and Integrity at NLB d.d., an organizational unit with the authority to conduct internal investigations, general regulatory compliance and preventive development tasks in the field of business ethics and integrity. Prior to taking over his current duties at the bank, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, where he was responsible for overseeing the financial situation of public officials, lobbying and strategic prevention activities of the commission as an independent state body.     After graduating from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana in 2007, Ur\u0161ka Titan started her career in the legal sector of one of the financial market institutions, KDD. In 2014, she was entrusted with the task of setting up and managing the Compliance Department. In this role, she gained an in-depth knowledge of various areas of compliance and ensured the implementation of theory into practice. At the same time, she was also responsible for the area of personal data protection at KDD for more than 10 years. Her knowledge and experience have been confirmed by various international certifications in the field of business compliance (CCEP-I and AICA).
