What has happened in recent weeks has put us in front of the fact that we have to adapt personally and professionally to something that is becoming our new reality. At EISEP, we have moved to the digital world with our events and content, hoping that we can make it as easy as possible for you, our dear members, to work in the current situation and provide you with current content that will help you with this.<\/p>

On April 14, 2020, we had a online professional seminar <\/strong> with a globally established expert, Dr. Andrea Bonime-Blanc <\/em>, an honorary member of the EISEP Advisory Board <\/u>, and the founder of the GEC Risk Advisory, a member of many boards, academic and think-tank groups, and the author of numerous published works; working worldwide in the areas of corporate governance, risk, business ethics and the development of cyber security and crisis management strategies. With her penetrating thoughts and holistic view of the world and business, she is taking more and more steps forward, she is a thought leader and one of the most prolific experts.<\/p>

The aim of this online professional seminar was to place the existing corona crisis in the perspective of management and the profession in the areas of business compliance and ethics, risk management, internal controls and auditing. Together with Andrea, we tried to interpret the current circumstances in terms of our roles in different business sectors, how we can prepare for the continuation of these crisis and post-crisis situations, what we may need to do differently.<\/p>

At the first EICE webinar, Corona Compliance, we met with an internationally renowned expert, Dr. Andreo Bonime-Blanc, an honorary member of the EICE Board of Advisors, discussed the current corona crisis in the perspective of leadership and the profession in the areas of business compliance and ethics, risk management, internal controls and auditing. We interpreted the current circumstances in terms of our roles in different business sectors and got a basis for thinking about how we can prepare for the continuation of these crisis and post-crisis situations, what we may need to do differently. Andrea has also equipped us with rich professional resources with which we can help ourselves in further business in these times of crisis.<\/p>

She first pointed out that such a pandemic was predictable, namely according to the report on global crises for 2020 of the World Economic Forum, it was one of the 10 most likely crises that were predicted to affect the world. She emphasized the importance of drawing up crisis plans based on crises that are highly likely for your business sector and organization. She saw the role of the profession in the areas of business compliance and ethics, risk management, internal controls and auditing in the leadership that these functions must demonstrate in times of crisis. Namely, it is precisely in a crisis that organizational values \u200b\u200band culture are set at a turning point, which is why the profession needs even greater awareness of the compliance and business ethics of organizations in these times. In addition, it provided us with data that points to the fact that the ethics of leaders is seen as paramount in building stakeholder trust in the organization. It all starts at the top, so the ethics, integrity and transparency of the organization's leadership in times of crisis are presented as one of the most important.<\/p>
