The first expert seminar dedicated to whistleblowers' confidants, as introduced by the Whistleblowers' Protection Bill and in the spirit of the European Directive on the protection of whistleblowers under EU law. The programme was delivered using practical illustrations and examples, and based on established good practices and international standards.
While the educational part of the Regional Meeting of Compliance Professionals took place on Friday, 28 October, between 9:00 and 17:30, at the premises of the Private Chamber of Serbia, on Resavska Street in the city centre of Belgrade, we started the meeting in this capital with an entertainment programme on Thursday, 27 October.
We need new business models and a different way of thinking to make the changes that are essential for humanity, top-down, bottom-up, networked and along the entire value chain. In the race to comply with the European green regulatory tsunami, we must not allow ourselves to resort to passing the buck and forget the fundamental reasons why we have all this legislation on responsible and sustainable business.
